IF THERE’S an event one not to miss in the entertainment industry its an Avon party.
On Thursday evening, this multinational company played host to its relationship with globetrotter David Tlale, as they launched or ‘unsealed’ -Season 3’s collection AvonxDavidTlale.
Since beginning of their marriage in 2020 both brands continues to grow every minute and the deal means one-of-a-kind collaboration that makes high-end fashion accessible to the everyday woman.
“The AvonxDavidTlale collaboration was introduced in 2020 with the aim of democratising luxury fashion by removing the barrier of cost to designer wear,” says Mafahle Mareletse, Managing Director of Avon Turkey, Middle East and Africa (TMEA).
“After two successful seasons, we’re excited to bring to market our trilogy collection – an affirmation of the positive reception the collaboration has received and the empowerment of Avon’s Beauty Entrepreneurs through increased earning potential spawned by the introduction of the collection to our product offering.”
The AvonxDavidTlale Season 3 collection fashionably boasts:
- The oversized aviator sunglasses, detailed with the David Tlale emblem, which feature black ombré lenses with gold-toned detailing on frame and arms for only R399.
- The handbag, characterised by the David Tlale’s monogram print in orange and beige, with green trim fabric, retails at R849.
- The gold-and-silver-toned time piece that gloats David Tlale’s signature emblem, diamanté and monogrammed detailing. It sells for R549.
- The colour-blocked purse, priced at R449, also features David Tlale’s monogram print in orange and beige, with green trim. It features 8 card slots, 2 larger pockets for a mobile phone, receipts or notes and a middle zipped coin compartment.
The launch had guests dressed in black attire as a theme for the evening and what a ball had by all!
“The overarching idea for Season 3 though was to introduce and cement our DNA staple as a people of Africa through animal print and wildlife,” notes Tlale.
“The indigenous, traditional art in fine arts, crafts, cultural apparel and motifs are the inspiration behind the aesthetics that were designed specifically to reiterate this emotion and pride for Africa. The designs play with calligraphy to create a unique monogram that speaks to the concept of exploring time and space,” says David Tlale.
“It is our intention to break more ground that we did with the first two seasons’ collections by providing more opportunities for existing and new Avon Beauty Entrepreneurs to have an economically-fulfilling experience through the AvonxDavidTlale collaboration,” adds Mareletse.
Avon customers will be able to pre-order any Season 3 item from the Online Avon store or the AvonOn App initially on pre-order in April or order and purchase immediately from May.
