Bafana’s miss at the 2022 WC a ‘benefit’ to Carling Black Label’s innovative competition for fans at home

WITH THE 2022 FIFA World Cup in action and Bafana Bafana not partaking, South Africans are not left wondering.

Mzansi’s top selling beer Carling Black Label has made it possible by creating a campaign -Carling Score Predictor ‘When They Score You Score’ as part of empowering and rewarding champion fans’ voices.

‘When They Score, You Score’ fans stand to win their share of more than a R1 million in prizes- including R25 000 every single match day-simply by logging their 2022 FIFA World Cup match predictions on carlingpredictor.com or entering on USSD by dialing *120*660#.

Spectators from across the globe will engage in this one-month tournament, and Carling Black Label has made it possible for South Africans to voice their answers to an age-old pre-match question ‘What do you think the score will be?

The Carling Score Predictor launched on USSD and the web making the platform as accessible as possible.

Fans will be able to compete in the national overall league, round leagues and social leagues with friends and family.

Top performers in the round stand to win big cash prizes, beer and merchandise. The early bird predictors are also rewarded- with the first 50 000 entrants receiving a guaranteed R10 airtime prize.

The FIFA World Cup takes place every four years and sees 32 countries competing in what is set to be a series of 64 exhilarating matches.

“We believe in constantly finding different ways to innovate and empower our champion fans by bringing them closer to the game, as demonstrated through our sports properties.

Although South Africa didn’t qualify, people still want to be part of the biggest sporting event in the world. With the Carling Score Predictor fans are rewarded for their football knowledge prowess-because when they score-you score”, explains Carling Black Label Brand Director, Arné Rust.

SA might not be amongst the best participating at this global showpiece, sadly, but we’re sure to keep glued to our TV sets and mobiles by competing in the Carling Black Label competition.

Fans can also compete against the likes of Bongani Zungu, Thomas Mlambo, YoungstaCPT, Brown Mbombo and others in the Carling All-Stars league – where a lucky consumer that finishes in the top spot overall of the league stands to win a R50 000 cash prize.

Should an influencer win – the R50 000 cash prize will go to a GBV support organisation of their choice.

Fans will also experience view hosting at fan parks with artists for the final match of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal, and Cape Town, respectively.

To enter go to www.carlingpredictor.com or by dialing *120*660#(standard mobile rates, Ts&Cs apply.
