The longest running black business awards for the past 16 years, it celebrates and recognises South Africa’s champions of transformation.
It is scheduled for March 15 2019 at its home base Emperors Palace, Kempton Park- East Rand.
The BBQ awards encourage and promote sustainable black business and transformation through the recognition of good corporate governance leadership and achievement.
Over 15 categories will be awarded, open to individuals, black-owned and empowered companies and organisations in South Africa.
Bonang Mohale – Business Leadership South Africa; Babalwa Fatyi– Myezo Environmental Management Services (Pty) Ltd; Basetsana Kumalo -Basetsana Woman Investment Holdings Pty Ltd; Xolani Qubeka– Small Business Development Institute; and Oscar Siziba -Absa Managing Executive: Relationship Banking Coverage – Gauteng and Limpopo, are some of the Judges.
Previous recipients’ of the BBQ awards includes Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng, Transnet, PwC, Kaya FM, and others.
Minister of Energy, Jeff Radebe (though he was admitted at hospital) is still unconfirmed if he’d deliver a key note address, but socialite Somizi “Somgaga” Mhlongo will MC the proceedings, for the third time.
NaaqMusic will keep female guests on their heels and gentlemen (will sweat in their Tuxedos) by providing entertainment.
