The BTE VO1SS dished out the renowned crowd-pleasers such as Luciano Pavarotti’s rendition of the 1990 World Cup theme song Nessun Dorma as well as ‘Because We Believe’, made popular by Andrea Bocelli and Halleluya, performed by the Canadian Tenors.
Known as the Forte, which means power of the voice, is one of four concerts sponsored by MTN Group.
The other concerts the Verdi Opera Gala, One Voice: An African Celebration and the Annual Christmas concert will take place on June 15, September 27 and 30 November, respectively.
According to sponsors MTN, all concerts will feature the Johannesburg Philharmonic Orchestra (JPO), and will be conducted by the internationally renowned JB Scott.
