Bucs bag the Nedbank Cup

HAIL KINGS of Soweto.

Orlando Pirates are the winners of the elusive 2023 Nedbank Cup.

But they had to sweat for a 2-1 win by beating the stubborn Limpopo outfit Sekhukhune United, at the sold-out Loftus Versfeld stadium this past Saturday evening.

Taking the finals to all World Cup stadia in the country is the mandate of the Nedbank, having previously being hosted in Rustenburg, Bokone Bophirima in 2022.

The last time Bucs won the Nedbank Cup silverware was as far back as 2014.

For Sekhukhune, they should hold their heads-up for qualifying for the finals for the very first time since joining the elite football in SA, a sign that football is indeed on a different trajectory in terms of growth and development.

Well done Ezimnyama ngenkani!
