Carling beer celebrates 50 awards milestone in style!

THE ICONIC beer Black Label celebrates quality taste with champion fans celebrating over 50 awards for the champion beer.

This is against the backdrop of the brand celebrating its 52nd award going after winning Gold at the Australian International Beer Awards keeping it as the most-awarded beer in Africa.

To show-off the brand hosted one-of-a-kind Champions Day event last Saturday evening at Shine Studios, by bringing in top SA athletes and musicians to feast on the achievement.

The screening of the UEFA cup finale sadly won by Manchester City ousting rivals, Internazionale Milan 1-0, also brought excitement and misery for some. Hey, but football won at the end, so says Proteas captain Themba Bavuma, who is recovering from one of his endless injuries, he said.

Carling Black Label’s Brand Manager Nonjabulo Ndwandwe said the night was fitting as the brand could celebrate the latest achievement with their heartbeat, the consumers.

“In celebration of the award, the campaign we are kicking off symbolises that we are awarded everywhere and enjoyed anywhere. What we are saying to that is that yes, Carling Black Label has been awarded everywhere, and it is a brand that can be enjoyed anywhere, even in new spaces or places which you would not think.

Ndwandwe added: “Carling Black Label is a brand that believes that as an individual and as a collective, if you put in the effort and get the achievement, you deserve all the reward and we are saying cheers to you, our champion fans.”

Other sport stars who enjoyed the VIP treatment (despite chilly weather) included former Bucs skipper Happy Jele, and Kagiso Rabada, media personalities such as Khanya Mkangisa, Zamani Mbatha, Thembinkosi Mthembu and NaakmusiQ, who rendered a performance.
