Castle Lager unveils innovative ways to back up Boks as they prepare for WC in Japan

As expected Loftus Stadium was packed to raptures, thanks to the backing of Castle Lager- SA’s favourite beer- that has ensured that the national heroes feel the Heartbeat of the Nation every time they step out onto the field.

Celebrating 125 years of greatness, Castle has introduced a ground-breaking app that will bring supporters closer to the Springboks, as well as the innovative Castle Lager smart band, which measures the heart rate of the spectator in order to create an ‘average’ national heart rate in a show of support to the men who will be flying the South African flag high in Japan.

The launch was held at Loftus ‘Beer Corner’- in company of sporting heroes such as Itu Khune, Proteas Batsman Rassie van Der Dussen, hordes of media and the beer’s representatives.

This year “Beer for the nation” campaign was launched during the Proteas’ stint in the 2019 ICC World Cup and will now remain open till the Rugby World Cup semi-finals in November.

“This is a big sporting year for South Africa and we as Castle Lager are proud to have been at the forefront of the success of the Springboks for over two decades now. Castle Lager has always been committed to bringing the beautiful people of South Africa together to rally behind the Springboks.

We encourage all South Africans to stand with the Springboks by downloading the Castle Lager app and connecting their hearts to beat for the Springboks,” said Castle Lager Brand Director Vaughan Croeser.

“Our next assignment is WC and we promise we shall not falter” once commented Boks -Tendai “Beast“ Mtawarira, in a chat with SLM reporter at a media brief in Pretoria.

The Castle Lager app is free to download on Andriod and IOS, making it accessible to the passionate supporters of the Springboks, while the Castle Lager smart band is available for purchase on Takealot.com from 23rd August 2019.
