Yep, I’m simply referring to this year’s 8 SAMA awards winner Zahara, whose stage name means a ‘stunning flower’.
Having toured almost every region in this country and now embarking on international shows, the voluptuous Zahara will be doing damage to her guitar at the upmarket Rio Hotel in Klerksdorp- North West (for the very first time) on Womens’ Day celebrations -August 9.
It starts from 3pm at Show in the Park!
The ‘My Guitar’ fans have been encouraged to come early, and experience what she has under her sleeves and what the marauding guitar would offer.
Zahara has grown in statue with every performance and last week at Lyric Theatre she serenaded her fans, who at every opportunity sang along. This undoubtedly is indicative of the caliber and class she possesses and affection created along with fans.
Organised by the Rio Hotel management, the concert has been dedicated to the women in and around the area of Matlosane and the entirety of NW.
According to the Marianne Du Toit, marketing manager at Rio Hotel, tickets were selling like hot bunnies considering only 1500 were allocated for security purposes.
“Due to overwhelming demand, we’re now compelled to make provision for extra 500 tickets which will rise to 2000. We had people coming in with busses to purchase tickets hence the decision to make available more,” she says excitedly.
Tickets are available at the Guest Relations Desk from R100 per person.
Yep, ‘Loliwe’ is in full swing in Matlosane…hop along!
