Chippa United coach believes his charges can turn the tables!

The 31-year-old, who is a former junior international, moves back to the Premier Soccer League after three years at African Warriors and is in line for a place in the squad for Friday’s derby clash with Ajax Cape Town.

He had been training with the side for more than a month.

Chippa also have Prince Olomu, Bongi Macala and Brad Wexler, who was previously in Portugal at Maritimo’s reserve team, on trial but coach Farouk Abrahams says they will think long and hard about adding more players so as not to destabilise the squad.

Sithole started his professional career at Chiefs before moving onto spells at Black Leopards, Lamontville Golden Arrows and Maritzburg United. He won caps at under-20 and under-23 level.

At Chiefs he made 22 starts and scored three times, while he got five goals in 17 games at Leopards and three goals in 13 for Arrows. At Maritzburg he made just a handful of appearances

Sithole will find himself behind the likes of Welcome Qalanto, Andile Mbenyane and the Togolese striker Thomas Amegnaglo in the pecking order at the club, undefeated in their last three games.
