Come sail away with Serenity One!

But what lurks between the two icons is the prestige WaterSerenity One imagefront Charters, a company that specializes in harbour tours and sea-going for over 25 donkey years’.

What is Serenity One, one may ask? It’s a 12 metre Sailing Catamaran, a purpose built day charter adventure yacht built for Waterfront Charters by Scape Yachts.

Serenity One can carry up to 40 passengers and three crew in complete safety. With full sailing rig of mainsail and jib hoisted she flies under 88.8 square metres of sail, providing a thrill even vastly experienced sailors appreciate.

It can be hired for parties and trips daily for two or three hours depending on your budget.

With Cape Town known for terrible winds when nature calls, she has the back-up of twin 55 hp motors that are powerful enough for anything the Atlantic can dish up, and they will power the catamaran through the swells whilst guests admire the unparalleled views from the Atlantic Ocean.

Craig Girdlestone, joint owner of Waterfront Charters, says: “Serenity One offers a unique experience on the water off Cape Town through to magical Clifton  Bay. We will tailor-make a trip that will provide stunning opportunities for parties or incentive groups.

She’s a beautiful boat that sails like a dream.”

It comes furnished with a single decked vessel covered with a cockpit area and an open trampoline area that gives all guests comfortable, and if necessary, sheltered viewpoints; for thirstier guests there is a fully stocked bar that seats eight people.

Safety onboard is a primary design feature, and Scape Yachts have built Serenity to stringent safety standards; a world-class design using the highest grade Lloyds approved materials.

Her written specifications look like they belong to theSerenity One 1 Queen Mary; suffice it to say that no expense was spared in building this beautiful vessel.

This of course, reminds yours truly of a song ‘Sail Away‘ whose artist’s details fails  me.

So, on your to do list when in KaapStad, make a turn at the V&A Waterfront and hop on the Serenity One for a pleasurable experience. Sure I will…
