MEC Maile has hailed AmaTuks as true pioneers and ambassadors of the spirit of winning that Gauteng is synonymous with.
”We are inspired by the achievement of the AmaTuks. Their victory is our victory and it serves as a catalyst for all athletes and teams to aspire to greatness, individually and collectively”, said Maile.
To congratulate them MEC Maile will visit the team by attending their last match in the National First Division against Thanda Royal Zulu at the ABSA Tuks Stadium in Pretoria on Sunday, 20 May 2012.
Meanwhile MEC Maile has also wished Orlando Pirates and Moroka Swallows well on their encounters with Maritzburg United and Golden Arrows respectively.
“The two Gauteng based teams Swallows and Pirates are flying the flag for us and we are proud of their achievements.
“Izinyoni have done tremendously well considering the position they found themselves in this time last season. We are proud of them and we wish them well over the weekend.
“Ezikamagebhula have also been consistent in their performance. We are pleased that they appear to be in pole position to clinch the title again and we wish them well too.
“Whatever the outcomes -one thing is certain, the championship stays in Gauteng”, added Maile.
