Companies such as Coke, Carter, Cox Enterprises and UPS, are contributing significantly to the SA economy from Atlanta. City’s Mayor Kasim Reed is also part of the delegation.
Since their arrival in the country on March 29, the visitors have been to Africa’s first Accredited Science and Technology Park, The Innovation Hub in Tshwane, as well as strategic engagements with the City of Joburg and other stakeholders.
Other objectives of the visit include the sharing of best business practices and the identification of mutual economic opportunities.
Gauteng Premier, David Makhura, together with Gauteng MEC for Economic Development, Environment, Agriculture and Rural Development, Lebogang Maile and the newly appointed CE at Gauteng Growth and Development Agency Saki Zamxaka, will host a special breakfast followed by a round table on Thursday 31 at Emoyeni Conference Centre.
The purpose is to afford local participants that will include business associations as well as large SA corporates in the Innovation, media, finance and technology industries.
Such opportunities gives SMME’s a chance to market and promote themselves to international organizations.
GGDA mandate is to attract investment and new business to the Province and renders services and assistance to various projects and businesses.
