Globally, Huawei unveils latest GT 5 series

THE new lineup of wearables available to South Africans that includes the Huawei Watch GT 5 Series, were unveiled on Wednesday.

Bryanston Golf Club, was the venue for the launch that saw hordes of celebrities and media in attendance, not forgetting Huawei executives.

 With an array of customisable watch faces and premium materials such as titanium, sapphire glass, and ceramic, this is a series of smartwatches that transcends trends at the Fashion Edge and sets a new standard for what a modern wearable can achieve.

It comes with in two series: the GT 5 and the GT 5 Pro, each available in multiple sizes and finishes.

The GT 5 is available in 46mm and 41mm, providing a balance between sleek design and functionality, while the GT 5 Pro offers a more premium experience with 46mm and 42mm options, featuring luxurious materials like titanium, sapphire glass, and ceramic.

In addition to its fitness and health capabilities, the Huawei Watch GT 5 Series excels in personalisation. With 12 vibrant colourways and a vast selection of watch faces, users can effortlessly adapt their watch to any occasion—be it a day in the office or an evening out.

The EasyFit 3.0 strap design makes switching between styles and materials as simple as a click, giving users even more freedom to express their personal tastes.

With features like round-the-clock ECG readings, sleep breathing awareness, and women’s health management, the GT 5 Series offers users a complete overview of their physical and mental health.

True to form, Huawei delivers impressive battery life, with up to 14 days on the 46mm model and 7 days on the 41mm—ensuring the Huawei GT 5 keeps up with your daily demands.

At the global launch, the company also introduced new MatePads, showcasing their continued commitment to enhancing everyday life with seamless, innovative technology.

 The watch series will be available in South Africa in early October 2024 from Huawei’s online platforms as well as certified retailers.
