Its' all system go for the much anticipated North West Platinum Jazz in Rustenburg

Sharing their excitement with SOWETOLIFEMAG ONLINE, at the media launch in Mahikeng, recently Bojanala Events said, they’ve have placed every available resources and time in making it a point that, the event becomes a success.

The company, has been credited for having put both Mahikeng and Rustenburg on the entertainment map having executed major events from sport to tourism and edutainment.
     
The fest to kick-off from December 06 to 11, will feature music, workshops, golf-day, comedy shows, and exploring hidden tourism gems in the province.

Zahara, Caiphus Semenya, Ringo, Thandiswa, L’vovo, Tuks, Bhudaza, Tira, HHP and Oskido
are amongst artists and dj’s billed to perform.

Chris Mapane, one of South Africa’s emerging stand up comedian has been identified
as one of ambassadors for the event alongside Thato better known as Nicholas in the long
running SA soapie Generations.

Chris is respected for having hosted the 2011 SA SPORTS AWARDS at Sun City, amongst
others.

The festival is a partnership with Bojanala Municipality and NW Sport and Recreation.

“An estimated R4 million has been budgted for the whole excercise,” says Victor Mathews.

“Because this will be our first major project of this kind to be held in the province, we have partnered with key strategic stakeholders in making sure that, this becomes an annual event and outnumbers other music projects in the province,” says the gloating Victor.

“As alluded to by the MEC at the launch, this project seeks to develop the masses of NW, create jobs for our youths, and contribute to the economic emancipation of the province and identify key tourism destinations as part of local tourism.”

The gargantuan-oak MEC for Sport and Recreation Humbulani Chauke, spared no words by
encouraging the people of NW to come out in large numbers to support and rally behind the festival.

“This is your project and for it to be a success, the people of this province must show pride in it by supporting and talking about it, from taxi ranks to homes, from churches to shebeens from
sporting events to community gatherings,” he requested.

“Such events would propel other private businesses to come on board provided there’s
unity and belonginess amongst us. If we show a united front every one would like associate
with us but when that is not achieved such events would not be possible,” he says.
