Its a fab 10 for these years’ Royal Heritage music fest. Ndaa!

The annual fest that draws thousands of music revellers from all the SADC States, once again returns at its proverbial home, Nandoni Dam, Venda in the Limpopo Province, as it celebrates its tenth edition, in grand style, I was reliably informed.

Those who have paid homage to the fest for the past years, would agree, the organisers spare nothing to rest when coming to a plethora of entertainment under their sleeves.

Tourism Month is celebrated in September in mzansi, as such the organisers have confirmed the date as 14 September at Nandoni Dam, one of key tourism products in the soaring hot Venda.

Ndaa, as locals would greet any visitor or lesser mortals such as yours truly.

The spotlight will shine on the majestic and great Thohoyandou, where the rich culture and music loving town will be the focus; and house all South Africans and international guests, who will journey into the beautiful landscape and heartbeat of the Limpopo province.

This years’ slogan #AhunaUsala loosely translated (nobody gets left behind) will be a perfect opportunity to take a Shot’ Left and let the province become your home for the weekend.

Tourism in that region will boom and accommodation will be sold out soon, so get going. As for the province it will be katching– all the way to the bank, as GDP and economy stand to gain traction, so would local businesses.

Expect a mouthwatering line-up of artists, musicians, entertainers and influential figures to feature on this years’ 10th celebration fiesta, I bet my last cent- that’s if I still have any left…

According to the gregarious Shandu Nesengani, chief organiser of the fest, the line-up will only be confirmed and released at the media launch, soon.

“On the June 14, we went out with our save the date message, which coincided with Youth Day, a few days later.

On July 1, we launched our early bird tickets. The early bird campaign will run from July 1, until the July 31, and thereafter the normal ticket price sale will kick-in,” says Shandu.

He continued:” We would encourage people to take advantage of the discounted early bird tickets as they know from history that the event will always deliver to their expectations.

On August 2, we will once again issue another statement which will include the artists line-up,” he pointed out, without giving a hint on the programme.

Apart from hugely expected line-up, the organisers are synonymous for their psychedelic lights and production of high quality. At some stage one would think they invest more on the production than the artists themselves, how proven wrong I was!

Early Bird Tickets available for Phalaphala FM Royal Heritage Fest, are available at SPAR and Ticket Pro, until 31 July.

Prices range from R195.
