This happens at Uncle Tom’s Hall, Soweto -as part of Standard Bank’s Joy of Jazz- Jazz Care Day -on June 4.It starts from 9am.
The outreach programme has been evident in areas such as Newton, Alexandra, Sedibeng (Vaal) and Diepsloot in 2013, as part of the programmes community involvement, whose core mandate is to unearth the raw talent which is in abundance in townships.
The ‘oldies’ will be treated by musicians Press and Wanda Baloyi, who will serve lunch to guests. They will also be given a gift on departure.
Performances will be provided by two development bands from Soweto-South West Gauteng College and TNE.
