LONGWE and brother Sello Twala have been arrested.
Both are the sons of legendary musician producer Sello ‘Chicco’ Twala, whom himself opened the case.
This follows a theft of music equipment’s belonging to their father, who was away in the US for twenty-five days.
The case was opened at the Douglasdale Police Station.
“The incident of the theft took place when I was in the United States. I have video footage and my helper witnessed one of my sons carrying boxes and running away from the house,” Chicco was quoted, also indicating ‘they stole to feed their drugs’.
It is believed the stolen music items from his home in Fourways, are worth thousands of rands
Both men were reportedly arrested on September 2, and are expected to make their first court appearance at the Randburg Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.
Twala also confirmed his eldest son Longwe has been battling a drug addiction for years.
Longwe has also been mentioned at the murder trial of Orlando Pirates’ keeper Senzo Meyiwa, that is on at the Pretoria High Court.
