Lively and energetic Kwele has taken up position as one of three deputy city managers in the City of Tshwane at the beginning of January 2012.
The strategy and implementation portfolio for which she will take responsibility is sizeable and includes managing the city’s special framework, planning and economic development.
During her tenure as the CE at JTC, Lindiwe made significant inroads and changes within the organisation and brand value which is estimated to be in the region of R6million.
She was also applauded for having good working relationships with all sectors and stakesholders, particularly government to private sector..
According to independent anaylsts, she has left a void within the tourism sector which would be difficult to fill.
A well respected tourism executive, who did not want to be named, said he felt Lindiwe should have been given more bigger and responsible role in the sector.
