Malema's future still hangs in balance

The NDCA summarily suspended Malema for claiming South Africa‘s democracy had been replaced by a dictatorship under Zuma at the University of Witwatersrand on March 30.

Malema appealed the suspension, saying it violated his right to freedom of association as enshrined in the country’s Constitution.

“The NDCA found that the NDC did not breach the ANC constitution, the rules of natural justice and the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa,” NDCA chairperson Cyril Ramaphosa said.
