And deservedly so, their latest Mazda 3 model has clocked 5million units globally.
This was announced by Mazda Motor Corporation, who also confirmed this follows hot on the heels the same fate Mazda 323 had.
The Mazda 3 has always been an underdog in the C-segment hatchback market but as from now onwards the goalposts have shifted.
In Southern Africa recorded over 4200 Mazda3 vehicle sales since operations began on the 1st of October 2014 to end of April 2016; making the Mazda3 MSA’s best-selling model to date.
Available in both 1.6-litre and 2-litre petrol models, the Mazda 3 is a core model for Mazda Corporation, accounting for approximately one third of the company’s annual sales volume, according to the media release.
Currently in its third generation, the Mazda3 was fully redesigned in 2013, adopting SKYACTIV TECHNOLOGY and KODO-Soul of Motion design to join Mazda’s new-generation lineup.
Moving forward, the company will continue to develop products which offer all customers driving pleasure and outstanding environmental and safety performance and enrich people’s lives and become a brand connected to its customers by a special bond.
