Meek Mill confusion cleared by the organisers and he’s coming. Amen!

As the organizers of the Castle Lite Unlocks experience, they have issued the following statement:” Despite the expected fanfare, Castle Lite is aware of questions raised by some consumers on social media regarding Meek Mill’s appearance in South Africa.

The brand would like give assurance that every measure possible has been taken to ensure that all confirmed artists to perform during this two-day extravaganza, and that this highly anticipated event will proceed as planned.

As revealed two weeks ago, the rapper, songwriter and activist will close off Day 1 of Castle Lite Unlocks. While rapper and producer, Post Malone, will shut down the extra-cold experience on Day 2.”

Yes, there was confusion and as always fanatics of rap would have not taken this lightly hence the organizers have issued a statement to allay any concerns.

For the uninitiated Mill is an ex to the bootylicious Nicky Minaj.

The much awaited gigs take place on June 17 & 18 (next Monday & Tuesday) at The Dome, respectively.

Day 1 (Monday, 17th June) line-up features Hip Hop guru Sway Calloway, US rap star Meek Mill, Cold Table Convos.

Day 2 (Tuesday, 18th June) sees Post Malone, and an entourage of SA’s best such as Nasty C, Rouge & Ricky Rick.

Other artists that are set to perform include, Nadia Nakai, Cassper Nyovest, DJs – PH, DJ Ayanda MVP and others.

During my interaction with ‘Umzwenko‘ fame Rick recently, he promised his fans a show never to be missed and repeated.

Castle Lite Brand Director, Silke Bucker said “As the brand has progressed, Hip-Hop in Africa has also grown to a space where international artists are looking to Africa for inspiration and collaboration; a space where our artists are setting the trends and driving the global Hip-Hop sound and narrative.

Castle Lite Unlocks is the biggest property we own as a brand – this is not just because of the artists we unlock every year, but also because of the innovation we unlock within this space year after year.”

We hope during their brief stay in ‘Mother land’ the international stars will reach out to our local musos for a possible collabs, or kanjani?
