In order to make travelling to the game more pleasant and reduce congestion on our roads, Metrorail has scheduled special trains to transport close to 12 000 fans to the FNB Stadium.
“In keeping with our service positioning as the most affordable public transport mode, the return fare to Nasrec station is a flat rate of R40 for all trips,” says Lilian Mofokeng, Senior Manager Metrorail Gauteng.
Train tickets will be sold at departure station. All trains will terminate at Nasrec Station, which is located adjacent to the FNB Stadium.
“We are proud to be associated with South African rugby and we continue to commit ourselves to enhancing the travelling experience of the sports fans.”
Trains will be available on the following corridors:
Depart from Rissik Street (Hatfield, Pretoria) – 13h40
Depart from Pretoria – 13h40
Depart from Randfontein – 13h42
Depart from Springs – 13h16
Depart from Johannesburg – 13h20
Depart from Johannesburg – 15h00
