Already preparations are ahead in Limpopo were thousands of ZCC hopefuls will converge at Moria for pilgrimage.
From the controversial IPCC in Zuurbekom to Christians gathering in Bokone Bophirima, roads and locomotives will be full of God’s fearing hopefuls resplendent in their respective church regalia.
The pilgrimage in Limpopo will also have visitors from other SADC States.
The province’s Transport and Community Safety spokesman Matome Moremi said they’re ready for the massive turn out expected on N1 route.
Moremi said they have adopted a no-nonsense approach to reckless driving and unroadworthy vehicles in their bid to reduce road fatalities by 10% .
“If you are caught speeding, you must know that your trip will be cut short.
“We are going to erect temporary vehicle-testing stations on the road and if your vehicle is not roadworthy, we will pull you off the road.”
Moremi also said MEC Makoma Makhurupetji and Transport Minister Blade Nzimande will join the Arrive Alive campaign team at Kranskop to reinforce traffic laws from Thursday.
He also said the Road Traffic Management Corporation had agreed to donate reflective clothing to patrons who jaywalk after drinking at taverns.
To all those who will be traveling to visit families, attending events or going for vacations be it on the road or locomotives, we say have a blessed trip!
