The Geely sister company Parts Support Pty (Ltd) will be supplying the complete range of Chana parts to former Chana customers. Although only selected Geely workshops will be able to service Chana vehicles, Parts Support will be able to supply all mechanical, service and accident parts, including components, to service and repair outlets throughout South Africa.
In 2010 the Dacar Motor Corporation (DMC), parent company of Geely SA, took a controlling stake in Parts Support, who has been importing Chinese parts to South Africa since 2009.
Parts Support Managing Director Dickie Marais says his company has bought out the complete spares supply of the former Chana SA, which closed its doors for business a few months ago. Thanks to Parts Support, Chana owners are not left high and dry anymore.
“We will unfortunately not be able to honour any warranty claims on Chanas, but we can supply any parts their service technicians might need. Owners who would prefer to service or repair their vehicles themselves, can contact us where to source parts,” says Marais.
Pricing will be as competitive as always.
“Our prices have always been very competitive and we will keep it that way,” promises Marais, adding that they will be able to supply any parts indefinitely.
