This time it follows with scintillating weekend of good music, tourism and entertainment for the people of the majestic Mpumalanga Province, and tourists alike.
The province is considered one of top visited within the domestic tourism bracket in the country.
For the past year’s the Nelspruit 60s which is the brainchild of a North West born Seleko and initiated as franchise to other provinces, has been rigged by poor administration and inconsistency.
Now that everyone is singing from the same page, and waters’ tested, this year’s event comes packaged with excitement, exuberance and tons of FUN!
Yes, it does attract a mélange of ethnicities from across the country, young and old to this exciting and progressive city of Naaspoot.
“We are quite thrilled at the success the festival has enjoyed over the past three years, and this year is going to be even better as we feature the SAMA awards winners and the musical legends such as Thebe, Mdu Masilela to head our strong line-up of more than 40 Artists,” says Sam Sekgota, Marketing and Operations Director of Molite Productions.
New element of comedy show has been included which takes place on Thursday 27 September at the News Café headed by the comedian par excellence Chris Mapane, and a pre-party on Friday sees the best of the best dj’s lining up to give revelers what house music entails at Emnotweni Arena.
Saturday, at Mbombela Stadium hosts the main event sixties fete featuring top ‘dawgs’ of the industry before wrapping up on Sunday with Sunday Soul Session headlined by celebrated musicians.
“It sure is going to be an unforgettable Mpumalanga weekend and we urge all South Africans to set aside that September weekend and book their tickets, flights and accommodation as this is going to be a memorable festival of excellent music,” adds Sekgota.
