IT was revealed today by the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) at Gallagher Estate, Midrand, this morning
“The electoral edifice of our country is not built solely by institutions. It is sustained by citizens who choose to engage.
Citizens who remain invested in our country’s democratic project. The campaign about to be unveiled is more than a slogan. It is an appeal to every South African to rise above apathy, to reject disengagement and to actively shape the future of our communities,” remarked IEC CEO, Sy Mamabolo.
The logo reveal comes ahead of the local government elections, which are expected to take place in November 2026.
The first voter registration weekend will take place in June 20 and 21, respectively.
The launch signals the start of the build-up to the polls, with efforts to drive voter awareness.
Participation is expected to ramp up in the coming months, and the IEC has warned South Africans to be aware of disinformation, and treat everything with caution.
The Commission has registered 62 new political parties since the 2024 national and provincial elections, bringing the total number of registered parties to 508, with 295 eligible to contest nationally.
