One amateur side remains in the Nedbank Cup Quarter-finals

THE quarter-finals for the Nedbank Cup has been confirmed.

And it will be humdinger of a battle as top PSL sides face one another, and one Motsepe Foundation championship side still remaining.

Defending champs Orlando Pirates has been pitted against Gavin Hunt’s side, SuperSport.

Matsatsantsa have not been doing well in the league that solicited a comment from the club’s hierarchy indicating “if we did not sell some of our best players, the situation would have been different”.

Bucs on the other hand, are showing intent and neither slowing down anytime soon.

Marumo Gallants will face the Motsepe Foundation outfit Durban City, whereas Kaizer Chiefs- blowing hot and cold this season, have a tough assignment against the no-nonsense Stellenbosch.

PSL triple champs Mamelodi Sundowns, will play the winner of the postponed Royal AM/Milford FC vs. Sekhukhune United match.

It has come to our attention, the troubled Royal AM will be sold.

The KZN side round of 32 tie against Milford FC was postponed, and the winner will advance to play Sekhukhune United. With Royal AM being sold, Milford FC is likely to receive a walkover in the first round and subsequently face Sekhukhune.

The winner of that match will then play Sundowns in the quarterfinals.

Full fixture:

  • Durban City vs. Marumo Gallants
  • SuperSport United vs. Orlando Pirates
  • Mamelodi Sundowns vs. Winner of Royal AM/Milford FC vs. Sekhukhune United
  • Stellenbosch FC vs. Kaizer Chiefs

Quarterfinal matches will be played on March 8th and 9th, respectively.
