Park Station welcomes Burger King!

This was confirmed by the Passenger Rail Agency of SA. It begins operations from February 1, 2014.

Burger King joins a number of national brands that have already been introduced at Park Station’s North Food Court.

This is part of the company’s R500m (three year strategy) to refurbish 134 stations countrywide.

PRASA’s strategy is to modernise its stations country-wide in preparation for its multi-billion fleet of new rolling stock to be launched in 2015.

Brands such as Wandies, Old Fashion Fish and Chips, Chisanyama, Uniwors, Anat, Debonairs, King Pie and Snax Shack, will follow suit, to make it more appealing to customers and business.

Thousands of jobs will be created be it direct or indirect as a result of such opportunities.

Major stations such as Johannesburg Park Station, Cape Town, Germiston, Mabopane, Durban, Berea Road, Pretoria and others will become significant intermodal facilities and offer significant retail and other services.

Burger King’s investment proves the country’s continues to create international investment opportunities, amongst others.
