Pepperclub Hotel plus Montsho equal success

Mr Magic. Josiah Montsho is the big boss at the world’s winning Pepperclub Hotel&Spa in Cape Town.

Whatever Josiah Montsho touches turns to Gold; and his illustrious career in the hospitality industry speaks volume.

Montsho is the General Manager at Pepperclub Hotel & Spa.

Pepperclub Hotel & Spa-named the Africa’s Leading Hotel City Hotel- also bagged the Africa’s Leading Hotel Residences, South Africa’s Leading Hotel Residences and South Africa’s Leading Hotel Suite – Penthouse, accolades.

“The aim of the World Travel AwardsTM  is to recognize and award excellence in the tourism sector and bolster the industry on a global scale, an initiative that needs to continually be supported in South Africa, as tourism is a steadfast contributor to the country’s GDP,” he says.

This is the fifth consecutive year Pepperclub Hotel & Spa, a five star hotel located in the heart of Cape Town, has been nominated for four categories in the 2017 World Travel AwardsTM.

With tourism month being celebrated in SA (September) and Worldwide, the purpose of the campaign is to conscientious locals to travel to other regions in an effort to bolster the economy in the country and Cape Town, Gauteng and Durban -due to its high drive of occupancy-are exempted to host the campaigns.

World beater. Pepperclub Hotel & Spa shows the background scenery of CT and why it bagged four top awards.

Which then tells the role Montsho and others play in improving tourists visit numbers in Cape Town, despite the dip in overall tourism figures in the province this year.

He pointed out that according to Statistics South Africa, 10 million tourists visited South Africa in 2016, contributing 3% of the country’s GDP, however the recently released Tourism and Migration statistics for March 2017 reported a year-on-year decrease of 10,9%.

This follows a year-on-year decrease in February 2017 of 8,2% and a margin year-on-year increase of less than 0,1% in January 2017.

“As an industry, we need to actively promote the country and its offerings in order to attract both international and domestic visitors all year round, as the more the sector grows, the greater the contribution towards the current stagnating local economy.”

Celebrating its 24th edition, the World Travel AwardsTM hosts a regional awards ceremony, after which these regional winners are entered into the global awards categories to contend for the World titles.

The Pepperclub Hotel & Spa also boast top ‘drinking-well’ known as Paparazzi Bar- what a coincidence Mr Montsho and 210 suite rooms.
