Pink it is at this years’ Sansui Summer Cup

Multitudes of fans at the Sansui Summer Cup.

The 2017 Gauteng Sansui Summer Cup race horse is back and Jockey’s like it, or not, will be resplendent in pink. Well, as for horses it’s a tall order to ask. Ahem!

It races off at the traditional home base Turffontein- November 25 2017, boasting a whopping R2m on offer for an unforgettable fun-filled day.

“This race meeting belongs to all the people of Johannesburg and, as Phumelela, we are proud and excited to present an event that will appeal to the wide diversity of people; and make this a world-class African horse race, for everybody living in this world-class African City,” said Rob Scott, Tellytrack CEO and Executive Sales & Marketing for Phumelela.

At the launch held at Kramerville, a stone-throw away from Sandton, guests came in large numbers dressed to the nines- as if it’s the actual event.

History has it that the Summer Cup is almost as old as Joburg itself, and is now taking place in its third century. Joburg began to grow after gold was discovered on the Highveld in 1886 and the first time the race took place was just one year later in 1887.

It is brought in partnership with Gauteng Tourism, Phumelela Gaming and MegaPro Holdings.

Tickets range from R75 and voucher to the value of 25. Kids pay R20.
