Queen drummer collab with Ndlovu Choir gets nominated twice for Grammys

LEGENDARY Queen drummer Roger Taylor recently released Come On Summer (It’s Party Time), the first single from his 2026 album Violence Insane In A Beautiful World, featuring the Ndlovu Choir (previously the Ndlovu Youth Choir) as prominent collaborators, helping to drive the song’s anthemic energy with their trademark vocals.

The song has now been entered, in the categories Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance, for 2027 GRAMMY Award consideration.

Ahead of their year-end show “African Christmas”, running at Emperors Palace in Johannesburg from 11 to 13 December, 2026 (tickets from Webtickets), this collaboration and announcement helps to further raise the Choir’s international profile, helping to promote the work of the Limpopo collective to fans of Queen, Roger Taylor and the massive worldwide audience who look to the GRAMMY’s for guidance on the best in music across a wide range of genres.

Says Ndlovu Choir founder and conductor Ralf Schmitt: “Working with Roger Taylor has been such a special experience for all of us, and something we’ll remember for a long time.

Having our song entered for two GRAMMY® Awards is incredibly exciting, and we’re just so proud to be part of it.”
