Volkswagen has refreshed the Polo Vivo with the new front-end design, new infotainment, new seat trim design and enhanced safety features to continue its success in the South African and Sub-Saharan markets.
Polo Vivo has firmly established itself as a leader in the entry-level hatch market in spite of new models being launched on a regular basis and with an even greater offering in the Polo Vivo, the new model is once again set to be the best-seller in the segment.
Affordability, German build quality, enhanced safety, space and comfort are some of the key legendary attributes that have come to define the Volkswagen Polo Vivo, setting an unparallel benchmark in the segment.
The 1.4 MPI 63kW engine has 132 Nm of torque available at 3750rpm. Its average fuel consumption is 5.9 l/100km. This engine is offered with the Life derivative.
The 77 kW 1.6-liter engine is offered with 6-speed manual as well as in 6-speed automatic (Tiptronic) transmission. With 153Nm of torque at 3800rpm, this engine delivers lively performance. With the manual transmission, the 0-100km/h sprint is covered in 10.8 seconds and with Tiptronic in 12.6 seconds.
The top speed is 188km/h. On average, it has combined fuel consumption of 6.2 for manual (6.5 for Tiptronic) liters for every 100 kilometres.
It will be available for sale in South Africa in September 2024.
