SA woman arrested for butchering kids!

Tania Clarence, 42, will appear at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court accused of killing four-year-old Olivia Clarence and three-year-olds Ben and Max Clarence, Scotland Yard said.

Post mortem examinations of the youngsters, who have yet to be formally identified, began at Great Ormond Street hospital on Thursday, the Yard said.

They were found dead at their home in New Malden, south west London, on Tuesday night.

Their father, Gary, who works as a director at City bank Investec, was said to be away in the family’s native South Africa with the couple’s eight-year-old daughter when the deaths occurred.

Tania Clarence was arrested after the bodies of the couple’s three other children were found on Tuesday evening in the five-bedroomed family home.

Neighbours said that Clarence, a graphic designer, and her husband Gary, who works at banking group Investec, had four children, three of whom were severely disabled.

They reportedly suffered from an incurable genetic disorder called spinal muscular atrophy, which causes the muscles to waste away.

“Mrs Tania Clarence, 42, appears in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 25 April, charged with three counts of murder,” Scotland Yard said in a statement.

Post-mortem examinations began on Thursday on the bodies, found in the five-bedroomed family home in the south London suburb of New Malden, and have yet to be completed.
