SAMAs- Two nominations for Nomhle

 Best African Adult Album, Nomhle is up against music giants Somizi, Unathi whom she worked with for years as the backup singer and her home girl Zonke. On Best female, she will battle up against the high-riding Zahara.

In less than a year of her album release, Nomhle, toured Lesotho, Mozambique and West Africa. Her struggle to get recognition in South Africa has been her strong point.

‘Ingane Kama Kelwane’ featuring Zulu Boy is getting airplay on BBC Africa and Jamaican local Radio Stations including UK.

Her album sound is influenced by the rich culture that Africa beholds, as you can clearly identify different sounds from all around the continent, mainly from South Africa, Zimbabwe, Mali, etc.

“I am grateful and humbled by the news, it is such an honor for me and my music is finally getting recognition.

Thank you to my fans and friends for the endless love and support,” says Nomhle.

Nomhle’s music will forever set hearts on fire and keep stimulating our minds on issues that people would rather ignore. South Africa has given birth to a new born star.

She will set world stages with her beautiful music and culture caring the legacy of great legends like Mama Miriam Makeba, Jabu Khanyile and Mama Busie Mhlongo, amongst others.

Sisa Sopazi, her manager and producer, gloated that, this is just the beginning of what is to come.

MTN/SAMA awards will be held on April 29 and 30 at Sun City resort, Rustenburg.

Voting is now open for the MTN Record of the Year, the only publicly voted category at the 18th Annual MTN South African Music Awards.

The public can vote by sending an SMS with the letter assigned to their favourite artist to 083 123 SAMA (7262) at standard SMS rates.
