The annually-held event makes its return to its old stomping ground, Turffontein, November 26 2016.
Spectators and horse enthusiasts can look forward to twelve races that will run throughout the course of the day and well into the evening.
While horse racing is the main attraction of The Gauteng Sansui Summer Cup, attendees will have the opportunity to view a diverse array of haute couture fashion trends.
This year’s theme has yet to be announced, but visitors must abide by a dress code that is ‘premium, stylish and smart. Men are encouraged to wear suits and jackets while women should don a pretty hat for the day.
To add to the festive atmosphere is a music lineup featuring some of South Africa’s favourite musicians such as Kwesta, Nadia Nakai and Major League.
The ever-popular ‘It’s a rush charity dash‘ also formed part of last year’s festivities.
This recurring event sees South Africa’s hottest celebrities compete against each other to support charity. Last year, the supported charity was the SOS Children Villages, an association that provides family-based care to children in 133 countries and territories.
