It happens on 16 February.
The identified 10 Influential Gentlemen have demonstrated highly notable attributes, achievements and inspirational qualities as influential gentlemen in the society.
The purpose of the gathering is to honour their hardwork and the roles they’re playing in the development of our country and in their respective fields.
According to the organizers, the role of the 10 identified Gentlemen would be to champion the task of encouraging young boys to be and act responsible.
They were drawn from all kinds of backgrounds and here they are:
*Kutlwano Ditsele is a born filmmaker whom has always had a firm grip on his destiny. Ditsele’s tertiary education began at Boston Media House before jetting to New York where he graduated at the New York Film Academy. Upon his return to South Africa Kutlwano joined Bomb Productions and has gone to raise the bar, Directing/Casting award winning shows such as: Zone 14, Jacobs Cross, Isibaya, Ayeye and The Road.
*George Matsheke is a Boston Media House Graduate through The DJ Fresh Foundation. After completing his studies Matsheke’s creative edge and driven demeanor gave birth to an exciting career in the Advertising Industry. The Entrepreneurial bug later bit him leading him to new grounds, becoming the Founder of Studio 83 Magazine and Marvin.
Matsheke has recently been endorsed by Khanyi Dhlomo for his work with Ndalo Media, armed with extensive experience in Magazine environments, George is definitely on the correct path to being the next South African Media Mogul.
*Andrew Tlagadi completed his studies at The University of Pretoria – School of Health Systems and Public Health prior to this he studied at The University of Johannesburg (RAU). As a Medical research expert Tlagadi is registered with the HPCSA and has worked on Clinical trials such as HIV vaccine trials and TB treatment.
Tlagadi is currently a Medical Scientist at Aurum Institute for Health Research – Tembisa Hospital and formally a Medical Scientist at National Health Laboratory Services.
*Sipho Masebe is a talented, inspirational who continues to solidify his mark in both Media and the Corporate world. Popularly known as “CGA-Bhop” in the Entertainment Industry, Masebe has appeared in various Television Productions whilst his go-getting attitude led him to explore his musical prowess releasing a well-crafted album titled “Paper Chaser”.
There is no stopping Sipho, juggling a corporate career as a Product Manager for a leading Retail giant. “CGA” is also well known for hosting an Annual All White Party through his company Berry Blast Factory.
*Gino Brown is a South African Award Nominee DJ, widely known for his hit House song “Body Language”.
Brown’s highlights include: A nomination for the Metro FM Awards, performing on Big Brother Africa, LIVE Amp and being the first South African Artist to represent the country at the biggest beach festival in Africa which was held in Lagos, Nigeria.
*Ngugi Vere is a Fashion Stylist and Creative Director & Producer for Soweto Fashion Week.
Vere is also the founder of Isandla Sothando Outreach an NPO that works with orphans.
He is also the CEO of Church Swag Clothing and Movement that promotes positive lifestyles amongst the youth.
*Ntando Mjiako heads up national operations and also oversees sales & communications divisions for HEALTHY QUENCH STILL WATER (PTY) Ltd. An innovative company that pioneers “lifestyle” trends and innovations. The core product is still bottled water. Ntando is highly driven and a passionate Gentlemen.
*Mpho France Matlala is a Bachelor of Business Administration graduate, currently studying towards a Masters in Business Leadership. Matlala manages a team handling recoveries working closely with the National Credit Regulator and Ombudsman. Matlala holds formidable experience in: Asset Insurance, Vehicle Finance, Debt Management and Business Rescue Modelling.
Nicholas Mboweni, from an early age of 15 better known as “DJ Cuebur” began to infiltrate South Africa’s clubs and dance floors consistently unleashing a different kind of sound.
Mboweni completed his studies in Advanced Music Production, Sound Engineering and Music Business at the Soulcandi Institute of Music. Cuebur has worked with the crème of the crop and his future in the music scene is one that represents an A-grade artist with lucrative international prospects.
*Dennis Chuene is the founder and owner of the brand Vernac. Vernac was inspired and formed through the rise of a checkered bag called the “Mashangaan Bag” which continues to be Vernac’s signature.
He operates from a Cape Town Based studio with a retail store at the Iconic Newtown Junction in Johannesburg. Chuene has certainly reached celebrity status being internationally acclaimed and celebrated on platforms such as CNN and SABC News. Dennis has his eyes firmly set on International distribution deals and innovative brand growth.
