Soccer tournament penciled-in for Soweto in partnership with nutrition brand and “Shabba”

FUTURELIFE® partners with former football star Siphiwe “Shabba” Tshabalala.

As a nutrition company, the partnership means it will support the annual Siphiwe Tshabalala Foundation Soccer Tournament.

It has been scheduled to be held from June 24 to July 16 2023 at the Kgotso Sports grounds in Phiri, Soweto.

1800 aspiring soccer stars, be it male and female, between the ages of 15 and 20, are encouraged to enter the competition; and also stance a chance secure one of the six guaranteed spots at the prestigious SuperSport United Academy.

As part of the sponsorship, FUTURELIFE® will feed every player from all participating soccer teams throughout the tournament, ensuring they receive balanced nutrition with nutrients and functional ingredients to support their immune system and help them to perform at their best.

Furthermore, FUTURELIFE® will also have a nutrition expert at the tournament who will offer advice and guidance on proper nutrition and its impact on everyday health, and sports performance, further emphasising the brand’s commitment to the overall health and well-being of the participants.

“With FUTURELIFE® by our side, we can make a positive impact on the lives of young South Africans, both on and off the field.” He adds that since its inception in 2013, the Siphiwe Tshabalala Foundation Tournament will not only showcase South Africa’s extraordinary soccer talent, but it will also promote the holistic development of young athletes.

The finals will take place on the 15 and 16 July respectively, and will be broadcast live on DTSV channel 216.
