Solly Moholo’s death lives a void within the ZCC music

GOSPEL sensation ntate  Solly ‘E moholo’ Moholo is no more.

He died on Wednesday, as announced in a statement by family.

Moholo was supposed to operate brain surgery in August, after making an appeal to the community for donation, at which at the time was in ICU.

According to family he collapsed during his album tour in Botswana.

Born Solomon Molokoane in Soshanguve, Pretoria, he was popular with the masses since 2000 for his ZZC music, of which he was a member.

His famous lyrical song ‘Ke lahlile botsotsi’ and others endeared him to his fans.

The family issued a statement asking for privacy: “Dear Solly Moholo Fans, it is with great sadness that we are informing you on behalf of the Molokoane family, that is Solly Moholo’s family, that our beloved legend “Solly Moholo” has sadly passed on.

“He passed on 2nd October 2024 whilst in hospital. Solly Moholo was hospitalized after falling ill following his pre album launch tour in Botswana.”

He was (65) at the time of his passing.

Further details on memorial and burial services will be communicated by family.
