Song not singing a happy song at Barca!

The former Cameroon captain said his nephew, who joined the Blaugrana from Arsenal last August for a fee of €15 million (R180 m), is not in high spirits because he’s not been given enough playing time at the club.

The 25-year-old midfielder has mostly started from the bench since joining the Catalan side and sometimes never used at all.

“Barcelona spent a huge sum of money to sign him, and Alex had high hopes while moving to Camp Nou, because there were a number of topflight teams courting him,” Rigobert said on Thursday.

“But today, he is not a happy man in Spain. He had a first team role at Arsenal and thought life would be rosier at Barcelona, but it is not the case at the moment.”

The Indomitable Lions most capped player refused to comment on Song’s rumoured departure from Camp Nou.
