Sweet Beats -a beat for female only DJs platform

Dbn Gogo, gave party revelers and guests some thumping beats as she kept dance floor ablaze at the launch, Blue Room-Hatfield.

Last week, it kicked off the only female DJs Sweet Beats project at the packed to raptures Blue Room-Hatfield, as part of its national campaign.

What has for decades been a male-dominated profession and industry as a whole, is now experiencing a metamorphosis – largely due to female DJ’s making their presence known, felt and respected.

The rise and rise of female DJ’s have seen the birth of heavyweights who have, in turn, paved the way for upcoming talents with aspirations within the music field.

Sweet Beats is a monthly online showcasing female DJs – aptly known as the Sweet Beats Sistas. It features DJ’s, well known and upcoming alike – bringing valuable insights and information to aspiring female DJ’s and inspiration to womankind in general.

Setting the night ablaze were luscious and musician Ntando Duma, Sweetbeats Sistas, Dbn Gogo, Buhle Moletsane and Lady Lamar.

For the next 9 months, the project will reveal ambassadors representing Jozi, Duran and Cape Town, as they play host to quarterly nights of sweet music, thanks to an all-female DJs offering.

Joburg will host the finals.

Effervescent Strawberry Lips Marketing Manager Vanessa Nel, danced the night away and promised fun as the campaign unfolds.
