The crowning evening was held at Soweto Theatre, Jabulani this past Saturday.
Buhale is a law and archeology student at Wits University.
The 22 year-old, clinched a whooping R30 000 prize package.
“Studying two degrees at the same time poses no problem as I’m managing,” she says excitedly.
The Dube born is the 36th Miss Soweto queen.
“Soweto is South Africa’s biggest township, and the Miss Soweto Pageant – the first of which was held in 1979- was created to bring awareness to the women of Soweto.
“Miss Soweto becomes a role model for girls of all ages and plays an important role in defining the image of South Africa womanhood based on grace, poise, health and enthusiasm to succeed,” says White Star Marketing Manager Mokhele Makhothi.
