The pair made in SA, Randy and 'Big' Joe still dazzling our country!

Both legends are now synonymous with SA, and one madly fan of theirs, even suggested ‘they no longer need introduction’. Fully agree…

Having crafted music for the past 36 years- no wonder grey hair is evident- from their first hit together in 1979, “Street Life” (which Randy sang with Joe and The Crusaders) to “One Day I’ll Fly Away,” “When Your Life Was Low” and “Last Night at Danceland,” to their recent duo collaborations on the GRAMMY(r)-nominated CDs Feeling Good (2006) and No Regrets (2008), they’ve made music that people remember, and not only that but appreciate as well.

Randy who has been baptized with the name “motlalepula” for whenever she performs it rains, is one of premier song stylists, and clearly stakes her claim as a jazz singer and beyond. Her smile brings knuckles to every living man!

His counterpart ‘Big’ Joe further exudes his reputation as one of celebrated and most exciting piano player of note, knowing exactly when to accompany and when to make the keys dance. Yes, that’s Joe for you, folks…

Some of the fans we spoke to were concerned about fatigue, et al, after their Macufe performances but according to the organizers, they attested they’re professionals and nothing will deter them from belting out their best on Sunday.

Oh, what a relief!

Due to their close working relationship unfounded reports were that, they were having a soft spot for each other. Well, me thought won’t be chastized for asking, is it possible though?

The one-day show starts from 6pm.

Tickets available from R350 to R650 at Computicket outlets.
