Time to do justice on a kota- bunny chow

JOZI Kota festival returns in 2023

It will be bigger and bolder- scheduled for April 1, at Newtown Station- Johannesburg.

Kota fest speaks about lifestyle, fun for everyone and provides a platform for up-and-coming chefs around the country to showcase their wonderful offerings.

“This year’s event will be bigger and better as we have added activities mainly for kids, having added a separate stage, lights and sound for kids’ entertainment.

Drumroll for our new addition Abracadabra, a new magic Theatre which will be charged at a fee per session. Parents who want to enjoy the show will have the opportunity to do so without worrying about their little ones, if they so wish.”

“We are happy to announce that we’ve opened more space to build a bigger stage and lawn area for picnic vibes as we are expecting to have more Kota lovers than the previous event. It will create over 200 direct and indirect jobs, to assist our government to help curb unemployment in the country,” says Xolani Machele (JKF Director).

The brand has associated itself with top sponsors, whom some are new and others have been backing it for years’ to feast on that gigantic ‘bunny-chow’ dripping with all kinda of sauces et al…

“Escort is one of the sponsors at the Jozi Kota Festival, with over 106 years in existence, they pride themselves in delivering the uncompromised quality to their clients.

Other partners are Coca Cola, Eno, African Bank, Johannesburg Housing Company, Computicket,” says the organisers.

As a result of the pandemic the fest had to be rescheduled; but it has comeback with a bang, as it brings kasi vibe to town!

Jozi Kota Festival tickets can be purchased from Shoprite, Checkers, OK and Computicket.

Kids under 3 years enter for FREE.

Tickets cost R120 for adults, R100 for students with valid student card and R90 for kids between 4 to 12 years.
