Drake, who is in the country shooting his video visited the Foundation as part of understanding the legacy Nelson Mandela lived and also sharing knowledge with excited youth’s as the month of June-Youth Month- comes to a close.
“I encourage you to do everything that you can to make the future here as bright as you possibly can. We’re all young. We all have some end goal or some dream,” he said.
He was welcomed by Minister in the Presidency Jeff Radebe, Buti Manamela deputy minister on youth affairs and Mandela family members gave him a tour of the centre.
Drake jetted into the country on Friday and had been shooting a music video in Soweto for most of the weekend.
He will be leaving on Tuesday afternoon.
The mega star wanted to visit Winnie Mandela but due to pressing schedule, did not.
Mpho Relogile from Diepkloof says meeting Drake was an inspiration and looks set to finish his studies so he can also meet the stars, as he will be traveling all over the world.
