Expect her to be.

Celebrating its 8th edition, the annual pilgrimage has been penciled from September 13 to 14 2019 at Royal Gardens, Nandoni Dam, Thohoyandou-Venda in Limpopo.

Born Maya Christinah Xichavo Wegerif, better known to you and I as Sho Madjozi, is a wordsmiths -from being a rapper, singer, songwriter, actress and poet- who respects and promotes her Tsonga culture through music and public image.

Last month she broke the social net with news that one of the world’s well known WWF wrestler and actor John Cena, posted a picture of Sho on his Instagram page.

This after the release of her new single, John Cena, named after John, as a result the song hit the #1 trending spot on YouTube.

The response was overwhelmingly solicited from top performers worldwide, as they congratulated both John and Sho.

Back home, the Wakanda Forever & Huku star will share the gigantic stage with sought after exponents namely Sjava, AKA (back by popular demand), Vusi Nova, Ringo, Zama Jobe, Prince Kaybee, Master KG, Joe Shirimani, King Monada, DJ Ganyani, Maphorisa, Boity, DJ Sumbody, Duma Ntando, Ms P, Lerato Kganyago, Malwela, Kabza De Small, Tsitso, Kwish SA, Zero 12 Finest, Kaygee Daking & Bizizi, De Mthuda, Benny Mayengani, Colbert Mukwevho, Zozo & Sengere, Makhadzi, Kanakana Cook, Kairo, Romeo, Vhuyi Da DJ, Jones, Lagguga, VJ Nutty, Jack Bunny, Leonard Zhakata (back by popular demand) and a Surprise Act.

Roxley Masevhe, Tshamutilikwa UAAC Choir, Mukondi Malabi and a Surprise Act.

Friday the 13th is usually associated with or considered an unlucky day in Western superstition. Since this will be taking place in Venda, doom-sayers expect nothing but Holy Friday (yes pun intended).

The growth of the fest continues to attract and re-invent itself to accommodate people from all walks of life be it- locals, travellers in an effort to explore this magical region called Limpopo, that recently showed positive improvement within the domestic tourism statistics released by the national tourism department, pushing its ranks upwards and making it one of the most preferred tourism destinations in the country.

So, lets continue celebrating our heritage this month…
