But that’s unlikely, agree?
This follows weekend’s reports that Mpumalanga’s Premier David Mabuza calling for all members who abandoned the movement to return.
The ANCYL has also jumped on the bandwagon calling for Malema’s return by its president and former NW Province MEC Collen Maine.
League president Collen Maine told The Sowetan he supported the call by the party’s Mpumalanga chairperson, David Mabuza, for Malema, who was expelled from the ANC in 2012, to ditch his party and rejoin the African National Congress (ANC).
Maine said people who were disqualified from the ANC, like Malema, must come back.
“The ANC is a home for everybody. We need each other in the ANC.
“The ANC is a big elephant, but if many people leave, the elephant will collapse. We must do everything in our power to prevent the elephant from collapsing,”
“If bringing [back] people who were expelled will assist the ANC, let us bring them back,”
But the reality is, if the unthinkable happen would he return after being expelled instead of being suspended –as Malema requested- and would some members (both sides) be happy with the move?
Yes, we know ‘Sello’ his maiden name has a very close rapport with some elders at ANC but would this compel him to return, your guess is just good as mine.
However, the EFF spokesperson and fire-brand Mbuyiseni Ndlozi has quashed the rumour-mill and went on to label Mabuza a “kleptocrat”.
