Having unfortunately lost his mother in 2007 as a result of Breast Cancer, Bantwini decided to initiate an organization 1GoalforCancer, as part of Breast Cancer Awareness to the public.
To attain its promise, Zakes decided to engage his peers within the industry and football players’ to raise funds for the initiative. And award winner of note AKA is his ‘nemesis’ for the day!
The event-in a soccer match form- will take place at Discovery Soccer Park, Johannesburg in a 7-a-side match, on Monday October 27.
He’s team comprises of David Kau, Metro FM’s Lulo Cafe and Amon Mokoena, Donald, Ma-E from Teargas, Good Hope FM’s DJ Lloyd, Moneo, Pearl Thusi, DJ Zinhle and Bucie while, team AKA includes Twins on Decks, DJ Milkshake, motion picture company director Allesio, Orlando Pirates’ Daine Klate and Lehlohonolo Majoro, Nomuzi Mabena, Nandi Mngoma and Kid X.
Nominations and pledges to donate towards the initiative are being driven via Twitter, Instagram and Facebook using #1goal4cancer with proceeds going to the Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA).
