The platform, made possible in partnership with Vodacom, would dwell on his personal and never-before-seen content to fans and what shows AKA will be performing at, and so on.

Users can also get up close and personal with AKA’s “ask Kiernan anything” (AkA) where Mr Forbes himself will give answers to his fans’ most burning questions.

“It is evident that AKA is loved and followed by many people, and there’s huge appetite for news around him – news beyond him as a hip pop artist. Many are curious to find out what he’s up to on a daily basis.

This exclusive one-stop-shop media rich platform, powered by Vodacom, will give subscribing customers access to his lifestyle from their mobile devices – anywhere, anytime,” says Abey Mokgwatsane – Managing Executive: Brand & Comms, Vodacom South Africa.

“We’ve noticed that customers are gravitating towards digital and social platforms for instant content. Instead of them searching through all types of social media feeds, this App filters and delivers just what they are looking for.  As an agile brand, we responded by launching a portal that brings AKA exclusive content to fans who are on SA’s best network,” Mokgwatsane concluded.

At the launch held at the outdoor Pivot-Monte Casino, AKA’s fans came in droves, so did celebs, media and hangers-on.

Asked on the new project the ‘Fela on Versace’ hitmaker said he’s overwhelmed by the response and always tries to be on top of his game.

Sporting all jeans attire and his trademark hairdo, he did not, however, respond to rumour-mill on the sale of the record company, suffice to say let’s enjoy the new project that will take the world by storm.
