Beer fest adds to the jampacked programme in Soweto!

The Soweto Beer Festival was conceived in 1999 by the owners of one Soweto’s leading dining and entertainment venues, Masakeng.

What started as a small in-house event has now evolved into the one of the biggest social events in Soweto attracting visitors from Gauteng and beyond over four days.

It showcases from October 25 to 28 at Shap Stadium, opposite Mofolo Park.
The beer festival attracts a diverse crowd of visitors, which includes Sowetans, national and international tourists.

People visit the festival to experience the vibrancy of Soweto and entertainment by local developmental artists.

Over forty brands will be on offer. It will be accompanied by typical Soweto “cuisine” including, pap & vleis, kota and magwinya, etc.

Festival organiser Godfrey Mautloa says, the new “Soweto Superior Gold Lager will be unveiled, as well”.

Entertainment by local developmental artists and DJs such as Ganyani and Blackmotion, have been confirmed.

Tickets are available from the gate for R30.
