Daveyton DJ to party on a yacht alongside Black Coffee at Ibiza

Mama I made it. DJ Da Kruk from Daveyton will accompany Black Coffee (right) at the Ibiza party on a yacht, following his win at Taboo recently.

‘Da Kruk’ as he’s known, outsmarted four other finalists to bag an invite to perform alongside the world’s award-winning DJ Black Coffee, amongst others at ultimate AXECESS Ibiza Private Villa Party- on a Yacht. How’s that?

The finalists party went down at Taboo-Sandton until the sun came up in true Ibiza style.

“Playing alongside internationally recognised DJ’s like Black Coffee in SouthAfrica, let alone in Ibiza, is a dream come true. Thank you to AXE for making my dream a reality, and I can’t wait to travel to Ibiza,” said (29) ‘Da Kruk’, who hails from Daveyton-East Rand.

I am not another Black Coffee. I am me and I bring something unique to my sets. I believe it is this uniqueness and my hard work that got me this far,” he said.

Kutloano said his performance in Ibiza would include a number of South African hits and some of his own tracks he recorded.

In addition to performing with Black Coffee in Ibiza, Kutloano will also be performing at a show in Amsterdam next month which he secured before winning the DJ search.

“I’m ecstatic that the guy we chose to perform alongside me and other DJs at Ibiza has all the qualities to grow and make a name for himself,” says Black Coffee after giving guests a thumping performance.

The three-month search saw the likes of Siyabonga Ziqubu, Xoliswa Nene, Tumisang Mabea and Sibulele Yali, battling it out for a coveted spot to the worlds’ sought after fete.

“AXE believes that every guy has a special magic; something unique that makes them who they are. In partnering with Black Coffee, this campaign was about finding someone who has found their magic, and giving them the chance to show their talent on a global stage.

We’re looking forward to taking more of Africa’s amazing music to the world,” said Ryan Fauconier, AXE Brand Manager.

In addition to selecting a winning DJ, AXE is also taking one super fan, and partner to the party capital of the world.

The likes of Tjovitjo producer Vincent Moloi, MC co-host for the evening Thando Thabethe’s fiance Frans Mashao, soccer players’ and high profiled figures graced the evening.
